Service Description
The PADI Junior Divemaster course is for PADI Junior Rescue Divers who want to become a PADI Professional, but unfortunately are under 18 years old. You can bridge the gap by starting as an aspiring Divemaster. You can study the Divemaster theory and expand your knowledge enormously. Your diving skills will rival those of adult Divemasters. Requirements: - You are 15+ years old - PADI Advanced Open Water Diver - (jr.) Rescue Diver - 20+ logged dives - valid EFR (CPR and First Aid) or you are over 18 years old and not sure if Divemaster training is for you? Then you can join as well. Get a good head start in theory and skills and then seamlessly continue with the full Divemaster course. For the theory of the Junior Divemaster course you use the Divemaster manual or the PADI Divemaster online course. The online course is currently only available in English. In the water! Of course you will also go diving! During this training you will learn to demonstrate diving skills. You will learn to demonstrate the exercises of the Open Water Diver course at Instructor level. You will make an underwater map of a dive site of your choice. In open water we do workshops such as rescue skills from the Rescue Diver course and a search and recovery workshop! This way you are on your way to becoming an aspiring PADI professional. Swim test in the PADI Junior Divemaster course: As a PADI professional you need to be able to swim well. That's why you also take a swim test. For this you will: - 400m swim - 800m snorkel - 100m dragging a tired diver - tread water for 15 minutes Your PADI Junior Divemaster duties: Your duties are mainly to organize and assist your instructor. The duties can best be described as: - Setting up and managing a dive site - Assist in the preparation of pool and open water diving courses - Assist the instructor in demonstrations (e.g. breathing from alternative air supply) - Give presentations on learning to dive and environmental activities, such as Project Aware presentations. Please note: If you are under 18, you may not independently supervise divers and divers in training. From PADI Junior Divemaster to Divemaster Once you complete this, you'll be exempt from modules in the Divemaster course. Within 36 months of Junior, you can immediately continue to the Divemaster.
